Screw-on climbing holds from HoldfastHoldfast screw-on holds are divided into 19 sets according to size, from small foot smears to fairly chunky finger jugs, slopers, pinches and pockets. All sets come complete with wood-screws. Holds are intended primarily for use on ply board (18mm) but people have successfully used them on masonry where sufficiently flat areas are available and obviously where the wall is structurally sound and suitable. Screw-on holds are very versatile; you can put them exactly where you want them without having to rely on a pre-placed T-nut (as for bolt-ons), move them and add new ones easily. They offer the potential of much greater hold density compared with bolt-ons for the same money. Ideal for footholds, in a traverse wall and really all kinds of problems depending on ability, from tentative novice on a slab to strong competent climber on a 45 degree overhang.
